Director Andy Macfarlane is an Environmental Scientist and has over 35 years of practical experience and professional qualifications in ecology, landscape science, town planning and environmental management in both the public and private sectors.  Andy’s working experience together with his interest in natural resource utilisation and biodiversity mean that he is well placed to advise clients on a wide range of subjects on the natural environment.

Since 2001, as a Director of Brindley Associates Ltd Andy’s main responsibilities include landscape, protected species and habitat surveys; ecological impact assessments, woodland management plans and tree surveys.  He is a founder member of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (IEEM).

Andy is a keen angler, game shot, passionate wildfowler and deer stalker and is an active member of the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC).
