Aberdeen Site Appraisals
|
The Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments addressed the potential effects of two groups of mixed residential and commercial development sites based upon the existing landscape baseline conditions and the predicted impact of the developments seen in the context of likely infrastructure developments within the study area. The Ecological Assessments included vegetation surveys, expert eye walkovers, recommendations for European Protected Species Survey and mitigation proposals to avoid impacts upon an adjacent Special Area of Conservation (SAC). The sustainability assessments involved an analysis of each of the site’s potential for development against a Sustainability Scoring Checklist Criteria established by Aberdeenshire Council. Interpretation boards were also prepared for Bancon Homes to use during community consultation. “From the initial briefing through to completion of the reports, we found the Brindley team very professional, and their work has been produced on time and on budget. They brought considerable experience to the project, and consequently had an immediate grasp of the requirements and issues requiring analysis. This meant that the tight programme involved could be achieved. Their inter-action with other design team members was also excellent. Harry McNab, |
