Brindley Associates were appointed by West Lothian Council to critically assess and provide hard and soft landscape detail design for environmental improvements to the rear of two housing areas in Linlithgow Conservation Area, adjacent to Linlithgow Loch.

The design of the open spaces and associated parking areas will compliment the Linlithgow townscape whilst meeting the needs of the local residents, providing compelling, useable places and an attractive approach to car parking in a sensitive location. We look forward to seeing these proposals implemented.

West Lothian Council also asked us to make recommendations for improvements to Mid Calder Primary School grounds. We produced two simple yet innovative schemes to improve the quality and increase the size of the play spaces in an imaginative and cost effective way. The School were delighted with our proposals and we hope to see the scheme on the ground in the future.
