Les Hatton
BA Hons MIEEM
Les worked for twenty years as a reserve warden and countryside ranger on the Farne Islands, John Muir Country Park and the Eden Estuary, Fife before becoming an independent ecologist. He has a keen interest in the interaction between people and wildlife, and many years experience in conservation problem solving. Les’s main expertise is in birds, bats, protected species and management for people and conservation.
In his spare time Les is a bird ringer, involved in exciting and noisy things like cannon netting geese and training new ringers. When not doing this he can be found up a tree looking for bats or drinking beer whilst watching the rugby.
