Markinch

Brindley Associates were appointed by Thomas Mitchell Homes and are part of a multidisciplinary team working with EMA, WSP Atkins, Halcrow and Keppies to create a masterplan for a development site in Markinch, Fife.

The site is a proposed mixed use development on the fringes of a settlement near Glenrothes; the proposed development incorporates residential areas, commercial and industrial areas and a new landscape framework for the development.

Brindley Associates have provided a range of services including ecological assessment and Landscape & Visual Impact Assessment to identify key site constraints and opportunities. We have applied the findings of these assessments to the landscape masterplanning of the site to create an attractive and sustainable framework for development which integrates and mitigates the findings of our assessments.

We are now carrying our involvement with the site on to the detailed design and management of individual development plots.

Brindley Associates have now established themselves as Thomas Mitchell Homes ‘preferred’ landscape and environmental planning consultants and they have demonstrated on many occasions their ability to deliver creative solutions both timeously and within budget.

Individually and collectively they are very knowledgeable of their chosen subjects and we consider them very valuable members of the ‘bigger’ Thomas Mitchell Homes Ltd team."
