Oatlands Urban Regeneration Project

Together with Glasgow City Council, engineers URS and Holmes Partnership architects a proposal was developed to provide over 1,250 new, high quality mixed tenure family homes on a 32 acre brown field site on the south side of the River Clyde. Brindley Associates carried out a site appraisal and detailed survey of the existing vegetation. We produced sketch designs and planting plans to incorporate strategic new tree, shrub, bulb and hedge planting throughout the development to compliment the strong architectural layout and design of the buildings. Detailed landscape proposals for 41 houses for Glasgow Housing Association west of the boulevard at Braehead Street were also provided. Our landscape was designed to incorporate a public square and neighbourhood focal point with pedestrian links to allotments, a school garden, the nearby Richmond Park and Glasgow Green. "Gladedale are pleased to be connected with Brindley Associates who have, year on year delivered viable landscape assessments and designs of quality that satisfy the demands of the local authorities and our clients alike. Gladedale are also proud to have been Brindley Associates' first client when Joanne started the business in 1998.”
