We worked as part of a wider design team to promote land at the northern edge of Summerson for the development of a residential settlement with supporting infrastructure and public parkland spaces.
Brindley provided input into the strategic masterplan, developing a robust landscape-lead approach. We also provided a wide range of services as part of the EIA, including Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment, visualisations and ecological surveys.
Prior to the submission of the EIA, Brindley have been involved in the project for a number of years, providing initial surveys and assessments to inform an emerging masterplan. We also provided input into feasibility assessments regarding a potential new link road to the site.
Our scope of provided services includes:
- Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA);
- Viewpoint photography;
- Photorealistic visualisations of the development proposals from representative viewpoints;
- GIS mapping and analysis; and
- Landscape site analysis and mitigation strategy;
- Design statement input;
- EcIA chapter;
- Bat activity surveys; and
- Great crested newt habitat suitability index.
