Drymen Development Consented
We are happy to hear that Mactaggart & Mickel has been granted planning permission by Loch Lomond and The Trossach National Park Authority for a new housing development in Drymen. We really enjoyed working on this project, as we had the opportunity to provide a wide range of services including; ecological surveys, landscape design, landscape & visual impact assessment and a suite of visualisations. The visualisations package included GIS mapping analysis, photomontages for assessment and CGI visualisations of the open space proposals.
Recruitment Opportunity
Brindley is seeking additional ecology co-consultants to assist with surveys over the coming season. Appointment would be on an ad-hoc basis, dependent on project requirements. If you are based in Scotland, are registered with a relevant professional body with previous experience of bat activity surveys and wish to gain additional consultation experience, please make contact directly. For further information please contact our Ecological Project Manager, Troy Paterson, via: [email protected]

Happy New Year!
Cash for Kids – Mission Christmas
This year, instead of sending out our beloved mouse mats to our clients we have decided to donate money to charity. This year our chosen charity is Forth 1’s Cash for Kids – Mission Christmas.
This is a great charity which collects gifts for children aged 0-18 years in families where Christmas is a luxury they just can’t afford.
We are also collecting gift donations here at our office, if you would like to donate any toys we would be delighted to take them! We will be collecting until Wednesday 12th December.
New Landscape Design Project Manager
We are delighted to announce that Lee Houghton has now been promoted to the role of Landscape Design Project Manager. Lee first joined the team in early 2016, and has over 20 years experience in both the public and private sector. If you have any potential landscape design projects that you would like to discuss, Lee would be very happy to hear from you.
Additionally, we are also looking for a talented and enthusiastic Graduate Landscape Architect to join our growing team. We are looking for applicants with a recent MA in Landscape Architecture or similar, excellent design & graphics skills, good written skills and proficient in AutoCAD and Photoshop.
