Over the last 6 months, Brindley are increasingly being appointed to carry out pre-start meetings, site inspections & snagging reports to ensure our clients receive ‘best value’. Brindley have also reviewed and updated all their planting notes, maintenance & management proposals and produced a library of typical planting details all in line with current best practice.
Congratulations to our Scott Cochran who passed his Pathway to Chartership exam in November and is now a fully Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute. Scott, who was mentored by Jane & Joanne, has been working with Brindley for over 4 years and is a valuable member of our LVIA team. Brindley encourages staff to achieve their very best in their chosen field and this year we are looking to mentor another 3 staff on the Pathway to Chartership.
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Ecological Project Manager, Troy Paterson. Troy joins us to head up our Ecology team and, with his experience in team and business development together with an increasingly diverse ecology work load, we are looking to grow and develop the ecology team to support a wide range of integrated project work.
As part of the design team on this £333m strategic infrastructure project for development partners Henry Boot & Aberdeen City Council, Brindley provided a comprehensive suite of ES co-ordination, environmental consultancy & landscape masterplanning services in support of the successful planning application. We are now appointed to provide landscape design services for the extensive public realm areas in a challenging location adjacent to the city’s airport.
We were proud to provide professional ES coordination, EcIA, LVIA, Masterplanning and ecological mitigation & enhancement services in support of the successful planning application of a mixed tenure, 300 unit residential development with associated commercial development at Broich Road, Crieff. The development also included substantial recreational facilities and the integration of an extensive Scheduled Monument.
As part of our commitment to the West Lothian area we have given a very talented school leaver Ewan Ramsay a job via the Steps N2 Work Scheme. Ewan’s expertise in graphics packages gives valuable assistance to our Landscape Architects and GIS Visualisations Manager.
The Steps n2 Work programme creates work experience opportunities for West Lothian Graduates. The aim of the programme is to create six month paid graduate work experience placements within a West Lothian Council service. Young people receive six months of real work experience by undertaking project specific activities during the period.
We will be sharing our experience in the energy sector and demonstrating our ability to meet industry needs at All Energy in Glasgow this week: www.all-energy.co.uk
