Welcome to our Steps N2 Work Scheme graduate
As part of our commitment to the West Lothian area we have given a very talented school leaver Ewan Ramsay a job via the Steps N2 Work Scheme. Ewan’s expertise in graphics packages gives valuable assistance to our Landscape Architects and GIS Visualisations Manager.
The Steps n2 Work programme creates work experience opportunities for West Lothian Graduates. The aim of the programme is to create six month paid graduate work experience placements within a West Lothian Council service. Young people receive six months of real work experience by undertaking project specific activities during the period.

Visualisations in demand
We are providing verified photomontages and visualisations for a number of projects and clients – recently this has included defensible visualisations to inform EIA for residential developments, illustrations of landscape mitigation strategies for power and infrastructure projects, and graphics in support of new landscape works and site marketing.
New ecology projects
Our ecologists are being kept busy delivering a number of Ecological Impact Assessments and mitigation strategies in support of planning applications for a variety of new development sites in and around Glasgow. We are also providing terrestrial ecology survey and monitoring work in support of the EIA for the proposed new ‘T in The Park’ site at Strathallan in Perthshire.
Our EIA co-ordinator, Andy Mitchell, is managing the delivery of the EIA, LVIA, EcIA and landscape masterplanning services for major residential expansion on the edge of Crieff, Perthshire. Andy is also coordinating revisions to the masterplan and supplying addendums to the Environmental Statement in support of revised development proposals following our EIA submission for the new tennis and golf centre at Park of Kier.
Business Excellence Award
Brindley Associates was recently formally recognised by West Lothian Chamber of Commerce, at its annual awards dinner in November 2014, for its contribution to the West Lothian economy. As a result Joanne has been offered a business mentor to help in the ongoing growth and development of our company.
