There has been a fair bit of talk recently regarding a potential boom in the staycation market. Whilst the recent lockdown measures have obviously been quite a blow to the tourism market, there has been some recent evidence of an increased interest in booking staycations rather holidays abroad for upcoming trips. Perhaps as a nation we will rediscover the benefits of holidays in the UK, and exploring our own landscapes?

We have certainly noticed a recent increase in requests for input into holiday lodge parks. As well as completing assessment work for two lodge parks this week, we have had a large number of fee proposal requests for a range of holiday developments since lockdown began. Projects have been extremely varied, from luxury holiday homes and high-end lodge parks, to glamping pods, to standard affordable lodges or static caravans. The proposed sites have been equally varied, with some really interesting remote sites proposed in stunning locations.

Hopefully this is a positive sign of the market being ready to bounce back once restrictions are lifted!
