Bucking the Trend
Brindley Associates are pleased to report their best year ever since the start of the business in 1998. Managing Director Joanne Brindley said:

Arboretum
We are delighted to be designing a new Arboretum in the Borders within an Historic Designed Landscape and another for a client in Edinburgh with a very large garden assisted and advised by Arboriculturalist Donald Rodger.
Housing
It is really good to see renewed vigour and more activity amongst our housing clients and we are pleased to report that we are working with Taylor Wimpey, Bett Homes, Stewart Milne and Fife Council on new housing projects throughout Scotland.
Masterplanning
We are increasingly being appointed to carry out LVIAs and Ecological assessments resulting in us developing mitigation strategies and Landscape Masterplans. Recently we have been commissioned, as part of the design team, along with planning consultants, architects and engineers to provide these services at mixed use development sites in Kirkintilloch, Rosyth, Glenrothes and Greenock.
Women in Property
As long term supporters of the network organisation Women in Property we are pleased to be able to announce that Brindley Associates will be one of the main sponsors of the Women in Property Annual dinner to be held at the Balmoral hotel in Edinburgh on the 24th February 2012.
Renewable Energy
We are providing an increasing number of individuals and companies with landscape and visual assessment and ecological assessment services for small wind farm, wind crofting and farm diversification projects to meet the 2013 renewable energy feed in tariffs. As a result of these projects we have developed robust LVIA & Ecology methodologies appropriate to the scale of these developments.
Commonwealth Games Athlete’s Village 2014 – Update
The landscape design work for this project is progressing and we continue to work closely with the City Legacy design team and Glasgow City Council to ensure the delivery of a high quality hard and soft landscape for this large & prestigious development.
More New Faces
We welcome Scott Cochran, who has recently joined the practice following completion of his Master’s degree at Edinburgh College of Art. Scott will be offering graphics and design support in all areas of the company whilst gaining valuable experience.

South of the Border
In recognition of Joanne’s ‘Home Counties South East’ roots there has been an influx of landscape design jobs in Berkshire and we are proud to report that our landscape statement and design in support of a conservation area courtyard development in Wokingham, Berkshire has recently been given planning approval. Our clients Bancroft Developments stated:
